In the land of Retroville, there is a boy named Jimmy Neutron. Jimmy is a normal boy but he has a great talent for invention and seeks scientific results for various different reasons. Of course the show is a children’s animated cartoon, and has various inaccuracies in real scientific information, it is a fantastic way to show children that science and learning could be fun. Jimmy gets himself into various hilarious antics and with his two friends, Carl and Sheen, they have to repair what they cause damage of. Of course this is not always possible on their own, but there are plenty of other characters that help to keep the story going strong.
There is a large list of villain characters that end up having great plans on taking over the world, but they are never able to execute their evil plots because Jimmy and company are on the offense for the world. The Jimmy Neutron cartoon has also mixed in with another Nickelodeon favorite “The Fairly Odd Parents” and has made a host of movie featurettes that are very entertaining. It often proposes that the Jimmy Neutron world is a 3 dimensional world while the Fairly Odd Parents world is 2 dimensional. This often leaves loopholes into how they can go from dimension to dimension but the cartoon leaves everything to the imagination.
The Jimmy Neutron cartoon is not for everyone as it does contain some strange situations, but it is an overall great option for those who enjoy science and scientific impossibilities that are broken by the power of fictional cartoons. The Jimmy Neutron show is available on DVD in sets with themed episodes that usually go together. It is a great gift idea for the little genius in your life.
